In the latest Moneytalk Summary, Honeybee wrote: "Without naming names, Brinker referred to Rush Limbaugh’s effort to swing the nomination to Hillary Clinton, and thinks that it might turn out to be “one of the dumbest strategies of all time.”"

Jeffchristie replied: "If Brinker said that about Rush, it is obvious that he doesn't listen to the program. Even if he did, he is a liberal and as Rush says at his website:

"Liberals Can't Seem to Figure Out Operation Chaos and This Program"

RUSH:. ........Number two, how many times do I have to explain what Operation Chaos is? I have written a book. In the book, there is a chapter, "My Success is Not Determined by Who Wins Elections." I have spoken passionately in this forum, on this program of my absolute love for this country and what I think would be best for this country; and it ain't Hillary Clinton, and it isn't Barack Obama! Neither one of them. I have no desire to see liberals triumph anywhere, in any way, shape, manner, or form. I have made this abundantly clear. Thus, shouldn't it be simple to conclude that the real objective of Operation Chaos is as I have said? It provides a mechanism and a forum to weaken both of these two so that whenever November comes around, no matter what our candidate happens to be saying or doing, he'll win; because these two will have been deemed unacceptable because they are unacceptable. Neither of them are qualified. They are liberals! I still marvel. It is as though this program requires a super-secret receiver with a password and that only select few get it, and therefore only a select few actually know what happens on this program..
Jeffchristie Continued: "It is obvious to me that Rush is doing what he can to keep the democrats fighting amongst each other. Polls have shown that no matter which one of the two candidates wins some supporters of the loser will defect. The longer this goes on the more bad blood between them He wants to keep the fight for the nomination going on as long as possible:

From Paul Steinhauser
CNN Deputy Political Director.
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Bickering between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama could affect Democratic turnout in the general election, suggests a poll released Thursday..
Fighting between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton could drive Democratic turnout this fall..
Sixteen percent of Clinton supporters questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey said they are not likely to vote in the general election if Obama is the Democratic nominee..
An equal number of Obama supporters said they'll sit it out come November if Clinton is their party's nominee..
"The problem for the Democratic Party in November may not be crossover votes: Clinton supporters choosing [Sen. John] McCain in the fall if Obama wins the nomination or Obama voters doing likewise if Clinton gets the nod," CNN polling director Keating Holland said. "The real problem may be that those disaffected Clinton or Obama supporters may just stay at home in November, which could cost the party dearly in some key states.
.
Jeffchristie continued: "Remember ever dollar they spend on primaries is one less dollar they have for the general election. Brinker just doesn't have a clue about what Rush is doing here."

"I would like to make several observations about last weekends Moneytalk.
.
1. I found Saturday's show quite lively and entertaining. Bob was all wound up and ranted and rave about his favorite issues energy independence, nuclear power and balancing the federal budget. Sadly Sunday was rather boring.
.
2. Bob stressed the need for more nuclear power plants. Several weeks ago Louie Navellier's weekly market mail claimed the nuclear power was NOT a long term solution. He said if all of the electric power in the world was generated by nuclear plants we would run out of uranium to fuel these plants in 10 to 20 years. This would be a great question to ask Dr. Wattenberg the next time Bob has him as a guest on the show.
.
3. Bob said something to the effect that foreign investors don't have much influence on the direction of the US stock market. I attended a Navellier seminar a few years ago where Mr. Navellier claimed the the drop in the market back in November 2000 was caused by foreign investors fleeing due to the uncertainty of the presidential election. If Mr. Navellier is correct, it would explain what went wrong with Bob's QQQ trade of October 2000. It also means that Bob is still clueless on this one.
.
4. Joe called in and said he already received a government stimulus check for $408. He was expecting $600 and was pissed. He told Bob that the real money went to the rich and he was being screwed. Bob pointed out that he was a liar faster than our friend Math Junkie did when retired in Prescott said the QQQ trade ruined his retirement. Bob noted that any single tax payer with over $75,000 got absolutely nothing.
.
5. Bob and his guest Saturday did an excellent job of Greenspan bashing. I especially like the part where they both agreed that Greenspan was a self promoter who was more interested in himself than anything else. This made me wonder if it reminded Bob of someone else. Like the face he sees in the mirror every morning when he shaves."
