Bob Brinker's Moneytalk: CDARS and Lehman

Yesterday, Dr. Alan Blinder talked about: "CDARS, is the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service and it's the most convenient way to enjoy full FDIC insurance on deposits of up to $50 million. With CDARS, you sign one agreement with a participating local bank or other financial institution of your choice, earn one interest rate, and receive one regular statement. It's that easy."

Sunday, Bob Brinker talked about the possible Lehman bankruptcy -- what he called "Wall Street's breaking news." However he did not mention the stock market, or how he thought it might be affected by it.

The calls in the first two hours were devoted to the same general subject. Not one person mentioned the stock market. How things have changed from the 1990's when the stock market was the number one topic on people's minds. Or maybe like me, the ones who want to find out what Brinker has to say about the stock market only get busy signals.

Bob Brinker's guest-speaker on Sunday was John Waggoner, who wrote: Bailout: What the Rescue of Bear Stearns and the Credit Crisis Mean for Your Investments. Amazon has copies available for $14.97.
